THE IMPACT OF GLOBAL INSECURITY ON PRIMARY EDUCATION AMONG THE MINORITY GROUP IN NORTH CENTRAL NIGERIA

Abstract : Global Insecurity and terrorism have been a major challenge to the Nigerian Government in recent times; the activities of Boko Haram, (Islamic Sect) Fulani herdsmen attack, armed banditry, kidnaping etc. The research article aims at determining the impact of global insecurity on primary education among the minority group in north central Nigeria. Data were collected and analyses using the statistical package for social sciences. The result suggested that there is a significant difference in the general social life of the people in conflict areas as well as low enrollment and poor achievement among primary school pupils. The also paper attempts to x-ray the impact of global insecurity among school children and recommended that security issues must not be politicized; all hands must be on deck in other to curb the rising insecurity in Nigeria.
